How Token Migration Works (The Technical Part)
The most common misconception is that subscription apps store credit cards. We don't. Stripe or Shopify Payments does.
Recharge, Bold, and ReordeRe all just hold "Tokens" (keys) that authorize us to charge that card.
When we migrate you, we are simply transferring those Tokens. We tell Shopify: "ReordeRe is now the authorized app for this Token." Because the underlying vault (Stripe) doesn't change, customers do NOT need to re-enter their cards.
